For anyone who’s missed my social media posts today, I’ve acquired a thoroughly nasty tooth infection and am definitely not at the top of my game today. Worse, turns out my dentist doesn’t prescribe painkillers anymore. Probably it’s a liability issue he doesn’t want to deal with anymore. Doesn’t help me much, though.
The good news is a couple friends suggested I talk to my regular doctor, so I have an appointment tomorrow to see about something for the pain. I usually don’t splat all over about things like this, but I think this is legitimately the most painful tooth issue I’ve ever had. One of those “hard to think through” situations.
Luckily, last night I started an update on where I’m at with my blog To-Do list:
* Format my tumblr page and link the blog to it. This is mostly done, though I’m still tinkering with how the page looks. The basics are up, and the link is working at least. *Design a better header image. Ok, I really just tinkered with the one I already have. In my defense, I’ve been nursing a dreadful toothache. 😦 I still like it better than what I had. I wanted a closer zoom to the Flappy from the Whispering Tide Event, and also to crop out the GUI that I’d forgotten to turn off before snapping pics. Oh, the sadness of not quite perfect screenshots from a one-time event! *Update or revamp the “Currently Playing” Section. I’ve changed the page to a more general games list. While I like spotlighting games, I don’t keep up with the “current” part and have trouble picking favorites. This will give me more freedom to add games as they occur to me – perhaps after each “Gryph is Playing” post. *Decide how I want to list related and recommended links. I don’t like my current sidebar widgets for that. I’ve at least condensed them, having them on the sidebar doesn’t bother me so much when it’s not three separate widgets. I should, however, take stock of them since there’s probably more I could add. I’d also like to have a section for specifically TSW related links. * Finish going through tags. Took less time than I expected, most of the tags were either useful or I have definite plans to write more on the topic.
Re-format the off-site articles page. I pretty much just wanted this page to look a little prettier. Adding the graphic was enough to make me happy for now.
* Spend some time with my Anook profile,
and link that on here. I’ve linked it to the page, but I’m sure it will take time before I finish both learning my options and getting them set.
I’ve also finally started a FB page for the blog, since I keep my personal one private. That still needs a bit more love before it’ll look complete. Folks are following though, so yay! (And thank you if that applies to you!)
I’d originally intended to do a bit more writing than just my list, but I think I’ll save that for a day I’m feeling better.
