I’ve decided to give myself credit this Blaugust for posting the lightly edited VODs of my livestreams. I feel like that’s fair since I’ve put the effort into streaming the game, doing the edits, and I can write something up while I’m at it.
This session started out with the Summer Jamboree, and then I unlocked the third part of my farm along with a couple new animals. I’m mostly animal care, farming, foraging, and cooking focused on this one, not spending a whole lot of time on relationships at the moment.
I started playing Pioneers of Olive Town because I was in the mood for a farming game, but nothing I already owned was hitting quite right. I’d started it briefly a bit ago, got distracted, and recently pulled it out again to see how it went.
It’s been going fabulously, as it happens. I am in love with the animal design and overall aesthetic, and I’m enjoying the gameplay itself as well. For me, there’s a fine line in farming games between having lots of different things to do versus feeling overwhelmed, and so far this game is hitting that balance for me.
I’ve previously played just one Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons game, back on the Wii. I always meant to play more of them and just hadn’t gotten around to it yet. I’m glad I decided to give this one a chance and I suspect I’ll be looking into more games in the series.

I’ve attempted to keep a schedule, but some weeks I get called into work or Life Happens. I do try to update on my social media and on the “Schedule” tab of my Twitch page as much as I can.
