Little late in the day to be posting, but in my defense I was working, chasing golems, posting my latest up on Holosuite, and romping with the Otters partway through their stream. Busy day! (I’ll also ask for forgiveness if I sound half asleep, I’m pretty close to it!)

Still, I at least wanted to mention that June first began two weeks of Anniversary event fun over on The Secret World. We’ve got our golem world bosses, we’ve got party packs, we’ve got all-of-the-boosts, and most importantly, we’ve got an amazing community.

Before the event began, we already had folks reaching out to start helpful threads on the forum. TSWDB (one of our community-run websites) has been hard at work updating their Anniversary guide. Both the #event and #sanctuary custom chat channels have been hopping, and continue to impress me with how helpful people are to even the newest players. You hear it said a lot, but the community adds so much to what is already a thoroughly enjoyable game.

I was also very pleased to see that I’d received my ingame #IAMTSW tshirt. (Two actually, it came in black and in white.) I gave a brief overview of the #IAMTSW contest a little while back, and encourage anyone who missed it to take some time to browse the entries on the forums. It remains one of the most fun, exciting, and in many ways touching, gaming events I’ve ever had the pleasure of participating in. I very much appreciate the decision to give all participants the shirts and will quite honestly treasure mine as a reminder of the experience.

The Anniversary patch also managed to sneak in some other surprises, including a new Elite version of the Penthouse mini dungeon. A number of players had requested an alternative to the Nightmare difficulty, and will be very glad their wishes were heard.

I know this is a little short, but we’ll definitely be discussing this year’s event in more detail on @Beyond the Veil tomorrow.
