  1. Such beautiful animals! Grady, your Ragdoll is incredible as well. I think if I was to ever get anything other than a rescue cat, it would be a Ragdoll. Or maybe a Birman, but definitely one of the two. … Or maybe a Maine Coon; I think having a smoochy cat that size would be the best thing ever.
Of course, I’ve only just been able to get a cat again quite recently (after 20+ years!) because my wife is scared of them. She is doing really well with Diamond, a black & white DSH 6-month old rescue, and can appreciate Diamond’s beauty — but from afar. No touchy-touchy just yet. Diamond has taken to watching my wife make coffee every morning though, so perhaps they’ll yet find some common ground. 😉
In any case, bit belated, but welcome to this round of Blaugust! Look forward to reading more of your stuff. 🙂

    • Awww, thank you! Grady is a very special boy. Nash had him since before we met and it’s the only cat I’ve ever owned that wasn’t originally a stray or from a shelter. For me, if I wanted a certain breed, I think I’d still have to wait until I found one through a breed rescue or shelter but I get why Nash wanted him. Grady was his first cat and he specifically wanted a calm breed, and a cat he could own from a kitten. And I mean, now we have all these random cats we take care of so I’m gonna say it worked out. ^_^

I’m so glad you’re at least able to have cats again, and props to your wife for working on her relationship with them!

    • Thank you, I love them so much! 🙂 Horror is my jam. The most recent horror I read was “The Merry Dredgers” by Jeremy C. Shipp. I actually still need to finish it since I got distracted, but that was not the book’s fault. Very much enjoyed the parts I did get through!
