Quite a few Blaugust bloggers have jumped on the chance to share what their gaming spaces look like. Soul of the Forest, Cannot Be Tamed, and Floor Tank Gaming to name a few. (I swear I’ve seen more, but now I can’t find them, gah!) It’s a neat idea, and I’ve enjoyed seeing other people’s places. I’m jumping on the bandwagon tonight; incoming pics of my current gaming spaces!
Be it ever so humble… ^^ This is my laptop, the only gaming comp I’ve had for some time. And I know I need to clean up my icons. I’m always amused that in order to communicate with various gaming friends I have: TeamSpeak, RaidCall, Ventrilo, Skype, and Dolby Axon. I might have more, actually. The background is one of the HD TSW images we got a while back.
Anyway, it’s a Sony Vaio, and I want to say it’s at least five or six years old, if not older. It’s still going, thankfully, though I’m hoping to get a new desktop in the next few months. That ‘s a Thermaltake Massive Notebook cooler it’s sitting on top of.
Two sets of headphones, the Sennheiser set was a gift, but make me sound like I’m talking into a tin can (I’m told). Because of that, I use the cheaper Logitech ones more often. Both are wireless, though I have a really basic wired set…somewhere. My Xbox controller is next to them, and then the IPad I won from a sales contest at a previous job. Having a tablet helps make up for only having the one monitor, but it’s certainly not ideal. I think the plan with the mini cutting board was a place to set hot food so I don’t completely kill the table?
The other side of my desk – or rather, two tables pushed together. I used to have a very nice corner desk, but got rid of it years ago for reasons that utterly escape me. I’m currently using a Logitech G600 MMO gaming mouse (one of my best purchases, ever!) sitting on a boring black mousepad because my Metallica Master of Puppets one has gone missing. 😦
I found a nice little stand for my ecig stuff, so I’ve got assorted vaping gear in there, along with some meds and usually a few pens and markers. My primary right now is an iTaste MVP 3.0 with a Kangertech Subtank Mini, but I have a few other old ones in there.
The wooden box and decorative shell dish are kind of a mess. Headphones, necklaces, more ejuice, random ecig charger…yeah. The candles are a vanilla one that I don’t remember where I got it, and a Dragon’s Blood Smoke Odor Exterminator candle. I don’t smoke anymore, but I still love that brand of candle.
I’ve got some of my notebooks out at the moment – one of them open to where I solved the repeating rooms in “I Walk Into Empty,” and also where I stopped and wrote down ALL the lyrics from the computer. Because yes, I did that during my first playthrough. Don’t judge me. >_>
Coffee and sparkling water, pretty normal since I 99.999% quit drinking soda about a year ago. The lotion is a discontinued scent from Bath and Body Works. Sandalwood Rose is one of my favorites and I caved and got some off Amazon a while back, despite being expensive. Oh, and the tv and Roku remotes.
There’s also a trash can, and assorted dog toys underneath.
This tv stand sits behind me, and I mostly use it for gaming related storage. I’ve got my games on disk, including more than one Myst collection. Some more random vaping stuff. And then underneath I’ve got my old portable tape player <3, random charging cords, and the rest of my PC game peripherals. NES, SNES, and N64 USB gamepads, my old mini Xbox controller, a Logitech gamepad, a spare computer mouse or two, and my Razer Nostromo which I rarely use since it doesn’t feel right with my little hands.
This sits across the room from the computer. I haven’t been big on console games in a long time, but I do have my Wii and a handful of games for that. The peripherals for that are in the bin next to it, I’ve got an assortment of controllers and “guns.” Also games for my DS that I don’t even have anymore. Random VHS tapes, my plush otter, and you can see my bookcase o’ Stephen King next to it. What you can’t see is the Roku plugged into the back, one of the better presents I’ve gotten. Being able to watch Twitch, Youtube, etc. on a large screen is lovely.
The box on the lower left is supposed to be for makeup. I have the remains of my goth stuff in there, but I keep it more for random tongue rings, nose rings, gauged earrings, and other body jewelry.
Also, there’s a little Minecraft zombie and block toy on there, my nephew gave that to me. And a couple old laptops underneath. It could also use dusting now that I look at it. >_>
I do not know why I have my RennFest sandals on the wall/shelf.
Ok, this is kind of extra and very messy right now. But this is the view behind my chair that folks can see parts of during streams. I have my cd collection, Certified Otter badge, Sgt. Pepper on vinyl, a foam Minecraft sword (gift from my brother), my Deady Bear that’s signed by Voltaire, a dragon skull…
I also have the one and only thing I have ever bought off ebay. It’s the goth variant design of the Alice and Cheshire Cat American McGee’s Alice figures. I’ll throw a closeup of it on the end of this.
That’s about it for gaming stuff. I’ve also got all my dvds and, erm, some of my approximately 5 million books in the room with me, along with a few audiobooks I have on cd or cassette tape. My RennFest garb is in bins in the closet, and I’ve got dragon figurines and the like. It’s maybe not the most organized room, but I have most of my favorite things in here. 🙂

I have the same minecraft sword laying around somewhere.

Nice! Was a great gift, I used it one year as a prop for a pirate outfit for Halloween, hehe.

Thank you! 😀 They were only about $60 when I got them, totally worth it in my mind! It’s probably also the only time I left figures in the box this long, come to think of it.

I have a couple of figures still boxed up. It pains me to see them suffocating in their tiny cardboard and plastic prisons. D:

On the other hand, sometimes safer is better. >_> It didn’t come in a box, but that Deady Bear in the picture has a hole in his stomach courtesy of my last dog.
