  1. When I was a kid, we had a long-haired black beauty my mom named Cocoa because of how she looked laying in the sun. I wonder how many Black cats end up named Lucky. πŸ™‚ My own sweet black puppy is named Lucy, which is only one letter off.

    • My first cat, that I barely remember, was a black cat I named “Yumma-Yumma” after part of a cereal commercial. We later had a gray cat named Flintstones who, unbeknownst to us, was pregnant when we got her. One of her kittens lived, a long-haired black cat who was technically named Sasquatch, but we called him Baby Kitty his whole life. πŸ™‚

      • LOL Lucy was a surprise, too. Scooter (my lovely bride) rescued her momma, Bella, from under a dumpster. My daughters used to have a rabbit, Precious, whom we always called Bun-Bun.
