Heya folks!
As some of you might have noticed, I finally got some time to livestream Secret World Legends last night!!! 😀 I’ve been *so* excited to be able to do that…but my work schedule was crazy during Head Start, plus I’m recovering from an especially nasty cold. Many thanks to everyone who hung out. 🙂 It was a lot of fun for me to get back to streaming, especially with this game, and I hope fun for you! (I’ll get the stream up on Youtube sometime today, and post that here, too.)
I’d mentioned I was going to try to livestream a little today for the official launch, but I think too much is going to get in the way. My voice is still pretty bad this morning, so it’s probably smarter to give it more of a rest. I also noticed my audio was a little off last night, I’m going to need time to play around with OBS and see what happened there. >_> I’m not really going to have time for that since I need to spend today on last minute cleaning and prep for Nash flying in tomorrow. (You folks can thank him for building this pc, allowing me to stream SWL on Ultra graphic settings. ^_^)
While he’s here, I’m unlikely to stream, though I’ll tweet if I change my mind. And I should still be there for Beyond The Veil this Thursday. 🙂 Blogging is also on pause for the moment, unless I get a little time later tonight. (And yes, will set up a new Secret World Legends category Soon(tm).)
We’ll pick this up again in about a week, most likely starting from scratch with a new character. We have an awesome community, and I’m sure many of them will be streaming as much as they can!
Holy crow…pun possibly intended…the Head Start launch of Secret World Legends is nearly upon us! \o/ I really can’t think of a better reason to shake the dust off LFGryph and get a post up.
I WANTED to record a video but life got in the way. 😦 In lieu of a video, I’m going to livestream a bit as soon as possible. Head Start was recently announced planned for 4:00pm EDT today…BUT I work at 3:00pm EDT and a close/open to boot. So stay tuned, I’ll stream as soon as it’s feasible! If anyone doesn’t know, there’s also a dev stream planned, currently for 2:30pm EDT, though I’m guessing that’ll change with the new Head Start time.  (ALL times subject to change, this is after all a launch day!) I’d watch the official Twitter account, rather than assuming my post is up to date!
I’ll try to do at least a few more posts on the relaunch, SOON(tm). I’m going to mention a lot of things today, but I’m sure won’t be able to go into as much depth as I’d like. I’ve been such derp between sick, work, and spending time gearing up for our last TSWÂ Beyond the Veil podcast last night (which you should listen to!).

Finally getting the last livestream posted here. New mic is working and hugely better than I had before, but go fig I forgot to adjust the UI on my alt. Ah, well… the Twitch chat overlay was also working this time so I’ll just call it a double win. We ran The Rec Center Cannot Hold, Carter Unleashed, Tier 10 of Dawning of an Endless Night, and a few missions from the Overlook and Sam Krieg. I also highlighted a section if anyone wants to see my dog’s cameo. Thanks again to everyone who popped in, it was a fun night. 🙂

Just a quick update post – no, I haven’t thrown in the Blaugust towel. I initially decided not to promise any specific post frequency and suspect I was right to do so. We’ve been short at work for one reason or another, for most of the last week. Combine that with having some pretty important things I either need or want to spend time on, and I chose to step back for a while. (Some of it’s unexpected awesome, and some not-awesome. As it goes.)
Let this be one of those reminder posts – it’s okay to step back, and then come back when you can.
On the plus side, my original goal was to do *something* related to blogging or livestreaming each day, and THAT is something I’ve managed to do. It’s not as obvious or public as daily posts, but with some help I’ve gotten my new mic setup running and tested. Also with help, I’m looking into options that should help the video quality of my streams. It’s rather awesome for a number of reasons, not least of which is I’d been meaning to get to some of this stuff for a while. Also for other reasons. 🙂
I prepped a post about CONvergence last week, so that’ll go up as soon as I get a chance to regather my thoughts. If I’m awake at all later tonight, I’ll be livestreaming – and if not, I should be doing more Soonâ„¢. Beyond the Veil will be back from our summer break next Thursday, and I’ll get back in the habit of posting links to the show here.

I missed watching live since I was at work, but Secret World players got another dev stream today – the Twitch recording can be found here, and I’m guessing it’ll go up on Youtube eventually as well.
Normally I’d save my commentary for Beyond the Veil, but we’re on summer break  until the 18th. This will not be full coverage of everything discussed on the stream, just a few parts that jumped out at me.
Before the news bits, I was glad to see them play through The Black House mission. I love both playing and watching people play that one. It’s one of my favorite missions in the game, both for atmosphere and for the story of Carrie Killian. I’d run it on stream more often if not for the very act of streaming serving to kill off some of the mood. (I also possibly forgot about what happens when you try to enter the house in anima – or “dead” – form. I do so love some of those anima form surprises in TSW.) Continue Reading
Welcome to the true spirit of Blaugust! I didn’t get any real sleep last night, just dozed for a few hours. And had to open the store early this morning. But, even though I didn’t technically sign up for daily posts…I don’t want to lose the streak I have going. So let’s do a post while running on caffeine and exhaustion, what could possibly go wrong?
I’m going to ramble more about where I’m at with getting back into livestreaming.
I managed to stream last night despite being tired and vaguely headachy. There’s that Blaugust nudge working again (at least partly). It’s like my dog when he’s reminding me I haven’t fed him since his last meal…both persistent and insistent. 😉 Continue Reading

I’ve been on break from streaming (other than Beyond the Veil) for at least as long as I’ve been on break from the blog. A couple days ago, I finally got around to running a short test stream. I put off adding it to the blog partly because I’m slightly annoyed by it. Not the stops and starts – that was expected for a test stream. But the other things I noted while watching it later. My headset really is dying and not helping the sound quality, settings need tweaking, some UI in game should have been moved…I had weird camera placement since I forgot I slouch like mad when I’m tired. It was also laggy, and I hate that.
Thing is, all of that is part of what made it hard to get back in at all. I’m probably not as picky as some, but I spent a good chunk of hours adjusting things in my preview window before I went live. Trying to make sure everything looked right. Like blogging, if I’m going to stream I want it to be the best quality I can manage. I don’t like looking at it later and seeing something I missed.
